Soft ground etching on Somerset cotton paper:
Print making: Intaglio – Hard ground line etching ( and drypoint)
This piece was inspired by the political protests happening in Romania ( since Jan 14 2012, and ongoing)
Every element of the pose and structure is trying to send a message of what they were/are going through. And what has happened since the last time their “voice” has been heard (1989 the fall of communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu).
Insight and critique will be presented by Laura Mihalca (Artist, Curator, Art history major, and editor at Art Out magazine) soon.
“Pushing Boundaries” (Jan,2012)
” The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people. But because of the silence of the good people.”
** Special thanks to the model who posed for this piece.
